The Mad Ones

SYNOPSIS

Ricky and Claire have done everything right, but something feels very wrong. They’ve worked hard to earn meaningful sounding jobs at ethical seeming companies and surround themselves with considerate, open-minded types with interesting creative outlets.

Yet the ghosts of history’s more romantic ideas won’t stop haunting them. The feverish recountings of mad ones “mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at the same time...”

Why do Ricky and Claire’s lives not feel as grand or urgent? Did those vintage dreams ever really exist, or are they just the product of clever marketing executives?

An unexpected spark, in the form of Nitin, a meek colleague visiting from India, is about to propel these intelligent, passionate young people into raucous search for their place in the modern world.

A loving satire of Millennial angst, The Mad Ones explores the unique subcultures of the digital age from entrepreneurettes who get rich by monetizing their dating lives to utopian ad agencies where executives are given personal yogis.
